We Love Budapest recently took an exciting tour of Józsefváros, a district that has transformed into one of Budapest’s most popular neighborhoods in just a few years. So much so that the Palotanegyed, part of the area, made it onto the Time Out Travel magazine’s list of the world’s coolest neighborhoods.
As part of this remarkable transformation, the district has been enriched with new green spaces and parks, a flourishing cultural scene has emerged, and its entertainment options and gastronomy have seen explosive growth. While some of the area’s historic buildings have been restored, stylish new residential complexes like the modern and energy-efficient Univery, which is nearly move-in-ready, have also been built on the site of demolished structures.
